Capturing a landmark event in British history as the last deep coal mine, Kellingley Colliery is forced to close, marking the end of an industrial era. In these emotional films, politics collide with people as each worker will lose their job and must now face a daunting new life outside the pit.

With exclusive access to the closure and never before seen material, including the first colour footage captured of miners working at the coalface. It’s the story of a legacy that built the British empire and the remaining brotherhood of men at the very heart of it.
